ABOUT US
Started in 2002, the team members that contribute to the Global Horticultural Markets research and extension
programs in MSU Department of Agricultural, Food and Resource Economics come from a wide diversity of backgrounds and experience. Each
person brings unique talents and skills to the projects. We include a mixture of tenure-track faculty, research
specialists, and graduate students. In addition, we have contributing colleagues from other departments, other
universities, government agencies, and private organizations. Our team approach allows us each to work on multiple
projects, and to maximize our combined impact.
The focus of our team’s research and extension efforts is the linkage between marketing, management, and trade
strategies of horticultural industries seeking to remain (or become) competitive. We include relevant linkages
between trade and the natural world, consumer demand, and national and international policy.
